Perfil Alumínio has implemented Scan Fit & Measure to make its aluminium profile inspections faster and more efficient while reducing the possibility of human error.
The company has always maintained effective quality-control processes, but it continues to search for new technologies that can improve the way its products are inspected. Together with EngView, Perfil identified Scan Fit & Measure as a solution that could support this goal.
With Scan Fit & Measure, Perfil can inspect multiple cavities produced by the same extrusion die with greater speed. The technology also enables the quality team to control more dimensions with less manual effort.
This helps Perfil perform quality inspections more efficiently and obtain detailed information about the profile geometry during the measurement process.
One of the capabilities that particularly stands out for Perfil is reverse engineering.
Using a physical profile sample, the team can create a detailed digital drawing and export it in DWG format. This gives Perfil a faster way to obtain accurate profile geometry when working from an existing sample.
“Our quality control has always been very effective, but Perfil continues to search for technologies that can make it even more efficient and further reduce the possibility of human error. With Scan Fit & Measure, we can inspect multiple cavities from the same extrusion die much faster and control more dimensions with less effort. One feature that particularly stands out is reverse engineering. With a simple sample, we can create a high-quality DWG drawing.”

Innovation and technology are part of Perfil’s DNA. By introducing Scan Fit & Measure, the company has invested in an advanced solution for aluminium profile quality control.
Perfil is also the first company in Brazil to work with this technology.
Perfil Alumínio was founded in 1995 and began its activities by distributing aluminium profiles. After identifying new market needs, the company developed exclusive, high-standard construction systems.
Today, Perfil operates on a 250,000 m² site with two 7-inch direct extrusion presses and a modern vertical electrostatic powder-coating line.
Scan Fit & Measure helps manufacturers inspect aluminium profiles faster and control more dimensions with less manual effort. It also supports reverse engineering, allowing physical profile samples to be converted into detailed DWG drawings.
